Community Programs

Strengthening neighborhoods in our community

Our Community Building & Engagement team is dedicated to building a stronger community through developing leadership skills, and providing opportunities for civic engagement and collaboration.

By bringing people together, and engaging them collectively in issues that are important to their community, we can build vibrant, and sustainable neighborhoods and communities. Our goal is to increase capacity and strengthen the collective voice of all the members of our communities.

Our Home Modification & Accessibility Grant program ensures that Alaskans can continue to live in their homes by accessible modification, rather than relocations.

Our Community Building & Engagement work features resident-led initiatives like Fairness for Fairview and Anchor Gardens. Learn more about our efforts to empower neighborhood leaders.

Paint the Town is a beloved program that serves our community’s senior, veteran, and disabled neighbors. However, after several decades, we have decided to pause our annual Paint the Town program. You can look back at program highlights over the years.
