Services include home modification grant services and homeownership education. NeighborWorks Alaska has paused it’s lending and counseling services as the board works to reimagine our home ownership operations. We are happy to provide referrals to other programs.
Home Modification & Accessibility Grants
The Home Modification & Accessibility Grant Program is designed to provide accessibility modifications for eligible applicants who are Alaska Mental Health Trust beneficiaries and individuals with disabilities or special needs that will extend their ability to live independently in their homes. Home modifications allow eligible individuals to overcome roadblocks in realizing an enhanced quality of life while attaining the highest level of self-sufficiency possible.
Grants are available to applicants that live in a single-family, owner-occupied home, or in rental housing. There are no income limits or age limits for this grant program.

Homeownership Education
In collaboration with eHome-America, we provide homeowners with housing education. Our team members understand that the process of purchasing a home can be stressful and confusing. When you work with us, you can be rest assured that we will arm you with the resources and knowledge to make informed, unbiased decisions. It’s our commitment to ensure you are prepared for the responsibilities of homeownership and are unlikely to default and foreclose.
It’s our goal to make sure that you’re purchasing a home that you can not only afford to buy, but afford to keep.
